Access controls
Access control here means who can go where, and when. The hardware is chosen for the building: keycard, PIN, electronic locks, or biometrics, including fingerprint and facial recognition. The useful system is the one people will actually use. A door everyone props open is not secured.
Doors and cameras are designed together. A refused attempt can start a recording, so the investigation is a clip instead of a guess. Day-to-day management is adding and removing people, setting schedules, and reading the log without a truck roll for every new hire.
The system is sized so a small office and a larger site are not forced into the same panel count. It should be able to grow when the building does.
